TEN MINOR is a house in North Adams MASS, just off Route Two, between Eclipse Studios and MassMOCA few blocks from MCLA, close to shopping and downtown by one long walking street. In three floors, we offer  two Cooperative Apartments as Two/Four bedrooms (3 lounges/3 bathrooms/3 kitchens), each furnished with a' full' bed, bureau-closet, chair-table, cable TV/WIFI; the kitchen is equipped with all utensils and appliances, stack washer-dryer. During summer,  an upgrade setup is complete with linens, towels, toiletries and a host. While this 1895 building is traditional; its color is Neapolitan, and artwork of prints, paintings and sculpture is fresh.



ICE CREAM ART HOUSE provides artists or students Summer lodging by weeks, month or seminar rates.

in-back is operated by the owner Henry Gates.  Sessions are available through this owner of The ARTIST MANOR
(the entire property being House and three outbuildings).  The major work of Henry Gates is generated in Boston at

A NEW ENGLAND HOUSE allows college students academic housing from September through May, with the ease of move-in/out convenience. "The Cooperative Apartment" lease includes utilities/furnishings as above for each bedroom.  Amenities are  gas/elect/trash/cable-WIFI, and plowed parking paid by the landlord, Henry Gates. Terms are prepaid by semester: $1800 each Fall and Spring, divided by Jan 15 for each of two or four bedrooms. Reserve your set of rooms early in the Spring by contacting me through e-mail: hjgates@comcast.net.  We have been hosts seven years; maintaining a quality building with the building manager next door for prompt help.


ART WORK AND PROCESS is generated by Henry Woodhull Gates over 40 years of professional work; artist, then
minister, now psychologist. Throughout the 1970's he was teaching, art, religion and creativity. By the 1980's he led
Wholistic arts intensives. Then, throughout the next thirty years he maintained clinical practise. His studio artwork has
gone from Iconography in the seventies; to pastel murals and portraits in the eighties; next decade was a 1000' studio of
clay slip and sculpture in Boston; finally, Henry undertakes oil painting, studios in Boston and at TEN MINOR.
